Can I get a book from another Maryland college library?

Yes! As an SMCM student, faculty, or staff member you have the ability to check out books from other libraries within the USMAI system. You can search for books from other campuses through the USMAI Catalog.

To request a book:

1. Find the entry for the book in the online USMAI catalog
2. Click where it says "Availability - All locations"
3. Click on the button that says "Request"
4. Be sure to select St. Mary's College from the list of campuses
5. Use the 14-digit barcode number on your student ID
6. Enter your last name
7. Select St. Mary's as your pick-up location from the menu
8. Click submit - you will get an email when the book arrives
